As part of our approval process, we may place a temporary pre-authorisation hold on your credit or debit card. This helps us confirm the card is valid and not being used fraudulently.
The pre-authorisation amount will never be more than your first instalment for the order.
The hold is immediately voided or reversed by Zip. This means the funds are not collected by us. However, it may still appear as pending on your account while your bank processes the reversal.
The time it takes to clear depends on your bank’s processing times.
Please note, this is not a charge and Zip does not receive any funds from the pre-authorisation.
