The refund process can take a little time depending on your bank. If it’s been over 7 working days since you received an email confirmation from Zip of the refund, then please let us know. If you have not received an email from us, this would indicate that the refund has not yet been processed by the merchant and you will need to get in touch with them directly, as we are unable to process this on our end.
Please note, if the refund amount is less than the future instalments on your order, the refund will be processed against your future instalments. This means you’ll pay less for your future scheduled instalment payments for that particular order. Refunds are applied to the last instalment payment moving up to the most recent.
- Order Paid, Full & Partial Refunds - If you have paid for your order in full and returned an order in it's entirety or partially, you will receive the instalment amounts refunded to the card(s) you paid with
- Order in Progress, Full Refund - If you still have upcoming payments for your order and have returned the order in its entirety, any upcoming payments will be cancelled out and any paid instalments will be refunded back to the card you paid with
- Order in Progress, Partial Refund - This is where it gets a little more complicated. Take a look at the below example:

- The order total was $100 and a refund of $80 was processed.
- When the refund was processed by the merchant, the first payment (of $25) had been paid, however, the second, third & fourth were unpaid as they weren't due yet.
- The first payment adjusted to $20, however, $25 had already been paid, so the difference (being $5) was refunded back to the card the payment was paid on.
