Returns and refunds for purchases made using Zip can continue to be processed in line with your existing returns policy until 5 October 2026.
How do I process a refund?
Refunds should be processed using the same method you currently use through the Zip Merchant Portal or your integrated point-of-sale or ecommerce platform.
Refunds will continue to be settled according to the normal merchant disbursement process during the wind down period.
What happens after 5 October 2026?
After 5 October 2026, Zip will no longer accept or process merchant refunds for New Zealand transactions.
Customers should work directly with the retailer for a refund via an alternate payment method.
