After careful consideration, we’ve made the difficult decision to withdraw from the New Zealand market and will be ceasing to offer the Zip Pay in 4 product.
As part of this change, gift cards will no longer be available through the Zip app or New Zealand Marketplace from 11:59pm NZST on 28 July 2026.
Can I still purchase a gift card through Zip?
No, Zip will no longer process new gift card purchases in New Zealand.
Will my existing gift card still work?
Yes. Gift cards purchased before 11.59pm NZST on 28 July 2026 will remain valid and can continue to be used in accordance with their applicable terms. If you need assistance with your gift card, please contact Zip Customer Support.
What happens to gift cards I have already purchased?
Any gift card validly purchased or issued before 11:59pm NZST on 28 July 2026 will remain valid.
You can continue to use it in accordance with the applicable gift card terms, the retailer’s terms and applicable law. The expiry date and any other conditions shown on your gift card will continue to apply.
Do I still need to make payments for an existing gift card purchase?
Yes.
This change does not affect any amounts you currently owe, your scheduled payment dates or the amounts due under your existing payment schedule.
You’ll need to continue making your scheduled payments until your outstanding balance has been paid in full.
