If we can’t accurately identify you on signing up, even if your Credit Score is above our minimum you may still get an error message. This can be caused by a mismatch between the name on your licence and the name you entered for your Zip application, or issues with NZTA's services at the time of your application.
If this happens we will need to either reset your account so you can reapply, or verify you manually. You can get manually ID verified with other photo ID forms and a proof of address, just follow the prompts on how to do this when you are signing up. Please note, Manual ID verification can take up to 48 hours at peak times but our team will get to it as quickly as we can.
